ማርዬ ይግዛው፣ ቅኔያዊ የእውቀት ፈጠራ፤ አዲስ አበባ፤ 2006.

This is a posthumous work, published in 2014 thanks to Yonas Tareqegn and the Goethe Institut. The author Mariye Gezaw passed away one year earlier in Gondar, while being engaged in research work. The book, which has 188 pages, deals with Qəne, a genre of Ge’ez oral and written literature. The term itself is attributed to various elements, including hymns improvised in the church during solemn vespers, in order to praise God and saints. It can also be composed in relation with secular individuals and secular themes. Among the most common characteristic is its poetic structure and its metaphorical content whereby an apparent and a hidden meaning are preserved. In this above mentioned book there are three sections. Part I is on the features of Qəne, part II on its utility and part III offers a collection of Qəne, gathered in different ways by the author.
